It's easy to initiate or receive an encrypted call. Just press de "C" button on the keypad any time you want to speak securely, and insert the number you wish to dial in the encryption screen. It is really that easy!

Calls made to or received from insecure cellular devices that don't use Sigillu work the same as normal cellular phone calls. You just need one mobile phone for both regular and secure calls.

How the cryptography works

Our Nokia phones include built-in encryption software developed by Gold-Line Group of Israel, which converts your voice to encrypted data using a constantly changing mathematical formula. It uses a dual layered RSA/AES combination and a changing session key which modifies the encryption algorithm every second. Keys are exchanged using a 4,096 bit Diffie Hellman algorithm.

The U.S. government finds AES 256 secure enough to protect data classified up to TOP SECRET.

The encryption software was developed in joint cooperation with Israeli and German cryptologists. It passed highly advanced security tests performed by both civilian and government experts. The technology is so secure that it's licensed by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to protect the lives of their soldiers and the security of their operations.
